| Peppercombe, Bucks Mills, Clovelly and on to the rugged and spectacular Hartland Point. North Devon is steeped in history this is borne out by the number of historic houses which are a feature of any stay in this beautiful part of the country. Tapely Park near the coast at Instow and the National Trust’s Arlington Court near Barnstaple are well worth a visit. Just outside the small market town of Torrington are the beautiful gardens of the RHS Rosemoor where visitors can wander the grounds taking in the scent and sight of the magnificent roses. On the way stop off at Bideford, here you will find a bustling town where the ferry leaves for Lundy Island. Bidefordc is also the start of the twenty one mile Tarka Trail cycle track which runs along the river to Barnstaple. Bicycle hire is available. |
